One of the exciting changes for the 2017 edition of the OC Turkey Trot is the addition of sponsorship. Sponsorship will allow for a better race and bigger impact on the ministries we are supporting – Bethany Christian Services and Trinity Youth Ministries.
We have extended our deadline for sponsorship – so if you know of a business that would be a great partner, please let them know. Information can be found here: Sponsor Info
As of October 8, we already have the following sponsors committed:
- Van Engelenhoven Agency
- Orange City Dentistry
- Joiner and Zwart Dentistry
- Orange City Health System
- Joes TV and Appliance
- Iowa State Bank
- Sara Crane Cakes
- Woudstra’s Meat Market
Finally, don’t forget to sign up to participate on November 23rd.

Mark your calendar for Thanksgiving morning November 23, 2017 for fourth running of the OC Turkey Trot 5k. After a one year hiatus, we will return for a great morning of running, walking, food, and fellowship while raising funds for both Bethany Christian Services and the Trinity Youth Ministries.
Mark your calendar and check AllSportCentral.com for registration.
The Turkey Trot Team
While I absolutely love the 3 Turkey Trots we did as Trinity’s new building was opened, it was really a pet project for myself one other member.
Since I have taken a new position and will be relocating, we made the decision to no longer have the Turkey Trot.
Thank you so much for all your support these 3 years. The Food Pantry, ATLAS, and The Bridge all benefited by your participation.
Due ice everywhere, we are canceling the 2015 Turkey Trot. Please stay home. You may pick up your T-shirt next week.

Race Day weather update for 8:00 a.m. ~ 28 degrees with a 60% of snow. Could be slick out there, so be ready, be slow, be safe.
Could be our warmest Turkey Trot ever!
According to WeatherUnderground, race time (8:00 a.m.) temperature will be 37 degrees with a 33% chance of snow. How fun could that be?! Warm temps with some fun snow!
And… can you say Cinnamon Rolls for the finishers! Yummy!
Orange City Turkey Trot’s purpose is to mark the Thanksgiving Holiday with joyful community through a 5K fun run / walk. While we offer a true 5K course and keep runner times, the emphasis is on a fun experience for all ages that will raise awareness and resources for mission. The 2015 ministry partner is ATLAS of Orange City.

Turkey Trot is still almost 5 months away, but we’re glad to share with you the 2015 logo! Thanks to Sara Crane for her creative work in this piece. We’ll update the blog when registration is open, so be sure to sign up for the e-mail notifications. Thanks a bunch and have a great day!
We are less than 7 months away from the 2015 Turkey Trot! Our team just started the engines of moving towards that date. Here are are some advance things to know….
First, a time change: We’re moving the start time to 8:00 a.m., so people get a little more sleep and our out-of-town runners have a little extra time to get here.
Second, look for a 2015 logo to show up in the next few weeks.
Third, our local mission this year will be ATLAS of Orange City Area.
Fourth, look for the first registration information in the Tulip Festival Kiwanis Road Race (May 16 in Orange City) registration packets. By then, we hope to have registration up and running. As in previous years, early bird discounts apply.
